BRA's Urban Design Head to Receive 2010 Shattuck Public Service Award

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Prataap Patrose, the BRA's Deputy Director for Urban Design, has been awarded a 2010 Shattuck Public Service Award. The annual awards are given to those who “went way above the job requirements” by the Boston Municipal Research Bureau. Prataap, in his role as the head of the Urban Design Department, has been intimately involved with the BRA’s design review process for the last 25 years, personally reviewing over 1,000 projects across the City. He has been instrumental in integrating new technology and administrative processes into the Department’s work and perhaps more importantly he has been continually recruiting, cultivating and mentoring new talent to ensure that the BRA can continue to deliver the highest standard of service for the City for generations to come.

Prataap will officially receive his award this Thursday evening at the Seaport Hotel.
